I was thinking of purchasing 4 or 5 copies of every popular NES game from ebay, and perhaps 10 to 15 Generation NEX consoles and perhaps rent them out real cheap. Would you rent from a store? I know everything is emulated, but, its just not the same as actually having a real NES controller in my hand. So, simply put, out of all the NEXTGEN stuff out, and NES just a memory, would you rent games or pass up only to rent something for the PS3 or XBOX 360?

Well, I was speaking as in a hobby. I dont really care about making money, I just want to kinda relive the old days and get some veteran players who are still a kid at heart an old school weekend. Yeah, Im 30, and still play my NES, and proud of it. You wont ever find a PS3 or XBOX in my home. I think it would be so cool just to run out to a store that has like 300 NES titles, zapper guns, controllers, game genies ect. to rent. I'd pay for that.

in this day and age, you can buy NES games for prices cheaper than a regualr game rental, so i really see no point.

Yep I sure would rent them NES were the best games out. I can't want until the Wii comes out on Nov.19. I'm getting it beacuse you can download those old NES games.

I would definately rent them, but since all of them are on ROMS, it would probably be easier hook up a retro controller to your pc and play the ROM

Is there even such a thing as a working NES system even? I have one NES and my brother has two and not one of them work. All we ever get is that flashing colored screen of death. So, no, I wouldn't rent anything NES.

I would, perhaps buy them for a reasonable price, should the chance ever come (together with the console). This only for the nostalgia and having the real thing in my hands, since I can always play the games on Nestopia -emulator.

Yeah, I was thinking of purchasing like 20 Generation NEX systems and maybe 10 more refurbished NES consoles and renting it out. But I think this wouldnt do to well in the long run. Well thanks all for replying.

The video rental stores like rogers video or blockbuster used to have dirt cheap NES, and SEGA games but they dont anymore. NES games are totaly worth getting, the feeling of that box controller in your hand is such a good feeling haha. I still have my old NES and about 15 games to go along with it, my personal favorite is duck hunt, I have the gun for it too!

Yeah..I would just rather buy them, but I still have my original NES and its still going strong. Funny thing is that my PS2 is crap and it barely works anymore.

I still buy NES games to this day. I have my original NES from 21 years ago and it works like brand new. The NES and the Atari 2600 are systems I regularly buy games for. I have a huge collection now. This is what I didn't have as a kid.

Why even bother? Roms are everywhere, and FREE. You can play nes games at normal speed even on a crappy pc, and depending on your emulator, you can rip the game's individual tracks as mp3s.

I want to buy an original NES by early next year. I've always wanted to get one and then buy all the old games. I never actually had an NES. My first system was a Super Nintendo. But I played the original at my friends' houses all the time before that. And I want to get all the original Mario games and Disney Afternoon games.

Yeah, I did but that isn't the problem. The way the loading system was built on the classic NES is flawed. Everytime you put a cart in and close the tray down the contact pins inside the system get bent. I don't have the time or money to fix the damn things. I would like to get one of the NES revival systems that came out during the Super NES era that is top loading. Top loading obviously is the best way to go for game consoles with cartridges. My Atari 2600 still works with no problems and it is twenty plus years old.

Nowadays, NES games aren't the kind of thing you pay for. It's all about emulators now.

I know emulators is a big thing, but it doesn't feel the same to me. I really don't do gaming on the computer anyways.
