The topic of pathetic 1 season shows http://www.retrojunk.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=16445&highlight=

got me thinking. of good shows that were pulled before they should of been. I recall seeing a Star Trek cartoon? Forget the title, but it seemed pretty cool.

The Star Trek cartoon is on DVD now. It aired during the 70's.

It was called "Star Trek: The animated series"

Figures. That's what I was thinking as well.

One awesome show that didn't get a chance over one season was the TigerSharks. Believe me, if it were a stand-alone show as opposed to being a part of the Comic Strip, it probably would've been more successful.

I'd like to see a good remake of this cartoon if there ever were.

Don't think its possible without the old Rankin Bass animation team. :(

Didn't you say that the Warners obtained the rights to the TigerSharks, along with the SilverHawks and the ThunderCats (which is already getting the remake treatment)?

I suppose it wasn't really memorable like the first two.

That is correct. They said they might do Silverhawks if Thundercats sell well enough (So buy those DVD's!). I think The Comic Strip has less of a chance because it was only 13 episodes or so.

I wonder if they'll divide them into multiple series- Tigersharks, Karate Kat, etc. or there will be one collection?

It better damn well be that way. More bang for your buck and besides, it's more than just the TigerSharks. I'd love to have every show from that collection.

Probably be a bit more expensive then. I haven't seen the show in almost 20 years. :?

You're right, but if each series had thirteen episodes, it'd be woth getting two boxed sets of twenty-six episodes each.

Wow, I never knew that. Seriously, I'd love to see the TigerSharks on DVD, but now we've derailed this thread.

Definetly. A lot of the actors from Robot Chicken were from there.

If your curious about tigersharks, there may be a utorrent up on at least some of the shows. I'll look into it.

Awesome! if the quality is good, I'll take it, even if the quality's not so good.
