does anyone remember mello yello? it was like mountain dew, and they had the same "battle" like 7-up and sprite.
I liked mello yello, it seemed like it was straight out of the 60's. I could picture myself drinking it as I loaded the longboard on top of my car, Gidget riding shotgun, and the Beach Boys humming on the radio. It also brought to mind those white picket fences they have on the beach to reign in sand dunes.
Mountain Dew, even when Mello Yello was around, was heading in a more modern direction. Surge was just swill water.
Its funny how basically identical products can have completely seperate identities just because of marketing. I'm OK with it though.

mello yello is still around here in n.c.
Never heard of Mellow Yellow. Surge I have heard of though. My friend Jason Loves surge. I can't recall ever trying it though.

Mello Yello was so sweet lol....I tend to lean toward diet sodas because there's little to no sugar....

I only know about mello yello through movies i.e when they show a can of mello yello. There's no mello yello where i live.

Yeah i remember Mello Yellow anyone remember natural sodas when i use to live in Cincinnati Ohio the Krogers in Hyde Park always had them they were good made with pure cane sugar so they wern't to sweet. Also anyone remember Jolt cola that stuff was good. If you want to know where you can get off brand soda pop go to beverages direct they have a wide assortment of beverages to choose from.
Wow, I find that all hard to believe. Its distributed by Coca-Cola. It should be everywhere. Huh, learn something new everyday

Well it probably depends where you live. I live in New York and they don't sell Mello Yellow there. It was only recently that I ever even heard of it.
Yeah, I used to drink the Mello Yello. Seemed a tad too lemony for me, but oh well. I liked it just the same. It brings to mind a few other somewhat forgotten Sodas: Shasta, TAB, Crush (as in orange and grape) RC, Bubble UP, Tahitan Treat (or is it Hawiian Punch?).

you can still get tahitian treat, i get it on thanksgiving every year. its a family joke
