Does anyone remember a show that used to air on either cbs or nbc and it was called Dr. fad? This was a live action game show for kids and its time was around the late eighties. What I can remember is that Dr. Fad was an oriental guy, and in every episode he would have three genious kids compete against each other. Their parents were also introduced on the show. Each show would have different stages to compete in. The kids would go to their individual rooms during the final stage and create something out of their intellectual imagination. I think the way they won would be through an applause meter, or just cheers, if I'm not mistaken.

I used to watch this show all the time when i was a boy but can only recall one episode. The kids were actually creating real robots. One kid created a robot that you could control with a remote, and it would be able to help you clean your room. It looked like a bucket with arm grips. I think another kid invented a chess playing robot.

Oh yeah, I totally loved this show! It was one of those early Saturday morning programs that I couldn't miss. I wanted to be an inventor when I was younger, and I wished I could be on the show so I could totally humiliate the other kids with my genius. (At least that's what I thought)
