I am new to this site and am hoping that someone will be able to help me with
a dilemma that has been annoying me for years!

I was around 4yrs old (so 1981) and I was unwell and so was allowed to stay downstairs with my parents. A TV Film trailer came on the television which would give me nightmares for years as it scared me so much. I have been asking my film buff friends for years to try and find the name of this film but to no avail; The trailer involves a black dog (similar to a Doberman breed) chasing a girl down a corridor. It then cuts to a photo of a young girl in a photo, surrounded by fire burning the photo. It then cuts again to the dog jumping through a glass window into a middle aged Gentleman's room. The final image is of this dog looking at the camera with greenish eyes, before attacking the man in his bed!

If anyone knows the name of this TV Movie/film I will finally be able to put closure on my nightmare dog memory! I know it isn't Cujo or The Omen if that helps?

      Thanks for the swift reply.
The poster certainly looks like the same dog. I will try and find some images from that film and see if it is the devil dog of my childhood!

      Many thanks.

I have looked into the film Devil Dog and although it looks similar I don't think it is the same film. Anyone have anymore suggestions on this 70's film bugging me regarding a black dog that attacks people?!

See if you can find the trailer for "Wolfen". It came out in 1981, and it has some black wolves in it (which to a 4 year old would look like a dog) Hope this helps.

I've never heard of that film before, thanks.
I guess a wolf could look similar to a dog that young.

Have you ever seen the film? Does it involve a family being attacked?
