I remeber when I was a kid late 80's I use to watch this art show on pbs with this guy named Bob or something and he would whistle in the beggining of the show and whistle after the show. They would finger paint and all kids of arts and crafts. Any ideas???
"The Art Chest", maybe? I watched all of the time on PBS when I was small.
When you mentioned the name Bob I thought of Joy Of Painting With Bob Ross. He doesn't do fingerpainting though so that isn't it.
You might be thinking of Take Part ? (but that was on YTV when it was worth watching).

The guy looked like Alex from Taxi. He would do all sorts of arts and crafts and he would be whistling during the intro and as he ended the show. It might of been produced in the 70's but I would watch it around 86-90

Sorry, yep that was the guy. I am not sure if that is the same show because he had two other series called the Art Maker and Return of the Art Maker but yup that was the dude Dan Mihuta. Thanks Micro
