It's horrible. It is NOT really Transformers. First of all, Bumblebee is a yellow Volkswagen Beetle, not a 2008 Camarro. Secondly, Optimus in the movie is way off. Optimus is supposed to have a completely square/box shaped semi-cab for a torso, not the modern, curved garbage that they have him with in this "movie." The only good thing about this trash of a "film" is that the voice of Optimus is the guy that did the voice for the cartoon....at least, that's what I heard. It is the same voice, right ? Is Megatron in it ? If so, what did they have him transform into ? The last time I checked, he was a gun.
If you had been following this project more closely you would have known what changes Michael Bay had made. Fans everywhere were a bit upset, but after all this time waiting for this movie to finally release gave us time to accept that changes had to be made.
And there was no way to make Bumblebee into a VW Beetle. The rights to make a VW beetle into a character were not available, in fact I think it's still owned by the people who made that Herbie movie with Lindsay Lohan.
Finally, of all the things to nit-pick about in this movie (and if you read my complaints in the chit-chat section of these forums you'd see I have quite a few things to nit-pick about) you choose to complain about the transformers not being the right kind of vehicles? What about the painfully annoying attempts at humor that would not stop? What about Brawler being mis-labeled as Devastator? What about Optimus Prime looking like a fool in the first half of the movie? What about that stupid annoying little punk, Shia Lebouf?
I liked the movie, but there are better things to complain about than the fact that Megatron didn't transform into a Walther pistol (by the way, Megatron is in his Cybertron form, not his Earth form)
