Remember the good old days of SNL?

The Great Cast: Chris Farley (deceased), Adam Sandler, David Spade, Phil Hartman (deceased), Dana Carvey, Mike Myers, Jan Hooks, Kevin Nealon, and many more.

These were the great years of SNL. So many memories.

Any thoughts on these guys?

Adam Sandler: [singing] You gotta dip/You gotta doodle/You gotta shave Grandma's poodle/'Cause Grandma would so the same for you. You gotta libby/You gotta labby/You gotta hug Grandma even though she's flabby. 'Cause you should know Grandmas are people too. Oh, you gotta love your Grandma. Now if you listen to the words of this song/You know they're coming straight from the heart/Never make fun of your Grandma, even when she rips a juicy fart/You gotta dip/You gotta doodle/You gotta stop playing with your noodle/'Cause Grandma said it'll make you go blind/You gotta gipper/You gotta giper/You gotta change Grandma's diaper/And then pretend you really didn't mind. Whoa-Respect to the Grandma.

If Allison still posted here, she could tell you lots about this era of SNL.

As for me, I enjoyed some of it, but the Doumanian-Ebersol years will always be my favorite, because those were the first episodes I saw. Granted, I saw them in reruns since I was only a baby when that era was going on, but still...I think that a person's favorite era of SNL is usually the first era that they were exposed to. If a person was first exposed to the Not Ready For Prime Time Players era, then that will be their favorite. The Doumanian-Ebersol era may be the favorite of those who were first exposed to SNL that way. The late 80s, the early 90s, the Will Ferrell era, the "Lazy Sunday"/"Dick In A Box" era...Whatever era of SNL a person saw first will most likely be their favorite.

Yeah, I'm as partial to the Phil Hartman years just as my brother-- ten years older than I am-- is partial to the John Belushi years.

To this day, my favorite sketch? Sprockets. :D

They had a special about SNL in the 90s on NBC a few months ago.

Back when they had Chris Farley, Adam Sandlers, Mike Myers, talk about some stars. And they were funny.

I always like Chris Farley (RIP)
