Children's records that were released by the "Peter Pan" record company? They were very popular during the 1960's and 1970's, and often featured nursery rhyme, cartoon, comic-book, and TV show characters. The stories on the records often contained singing, and role-playing, by a group of unidentified actors who were billed as the "Peter Pan Players." If memory serves, the records were released at "33 and a Third", and "45" speeds, and had very attractive looking artwork on their covers. I remember seeing the records at K-Mart, and what we called back then "The Dime Store." My grandmother would present the records to my sister and I as gifts. We had a ton of them, but unfortunately did not save any. They are probably worth a lot of money by now, in mint condition, of course.
Does anybody have a link that gives the history of the "Peter Pan" record franchise? I would like to find out the history of the company (for example, where the records were recorded, who started the company, how much of a profit they made, when they went out of business, etc.)
Thank you in advance!
Cheers! :)
Sincerely, Steve B.
