What were some of your favorite books as a kid? For me I guess it depends on my age.

Ages 0 - 8: The Busytown series by RIchard Scarry.

Ages 8 + : The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe. I liked the other books in the series, but the first (Yes, the _original_ first book, not The Magician's Nephew) was always my favorite.

    Busytown was the SHiiiiiit!

I loved it! I had the plastic cooshy bathtime type book so I could check out Busytown and that awesome worm with one Chuck Taylor when I was taking a bath.

I hope to make it all the way to the end one day.

I liked all the Richard Scary and Maurice Sendak books when I was a kid, and also the little bear series of books.

Around the time I was eight my music appreciation teacher played us Jeff Wayne's rock adaptation of War of the Worlds and I liked it so well I wound up getting the original H.G. Wells book and shortly after a few other H.G. Wells books.

The Indian In The Cupboard series. I had this one teacher in elementry school for 3 years staight (4th,5th,6th grades) and she would read us a book from that series each year. One of my favorite teachers growing up, she even visited me in the hospital when I had my appendix taken out at 11 and her daughter was a doctor there. She was also the teacher that first showed me my favorite movie "A Christmas Story" around this time of year in 5th grade.

Oh and I LOVED the Choose Your Own Adventure books! My best friend and I would read those every library period in elementry school. I wish they still made those (newer versions). They were like videogames in book form lol.

Babysitters Club, definitely! I was a huge fan up until around age 14 when I realized that the books are kind of ridiculous. Still love them for the nostalgia factor, though.

I also got into Harry Potter when I was around 10, just in time for when Goblet of Fire came out.
