I'm sorry if there's already a thread on this but does anyone remember them? I've been watching old episodes on Youtube lately. Who was your favorite Popple? Did you own any? I have Party still somewhere in a box in the basement with my other 80s/90s toys. I remember whenever my brother and I would go to Blockbuster to rent video's it'd always be either Popples or Rainbow Brite. Is there any place online to download them?
I remember them. I still have mine.. Puffball. 8)

I liked the Popples toys, I had three of the little not-so-poseable figures. I got them in this order, Putter (green), Prize (magenta) and Cribsy (pink with striped nightcap). I liked Putter very much, also Prize, PC and to some extent Punky and Punkity. I only saw a few episodes of the show. A funny thing, how I had all these fantasies in those days, I imagined that Cribsy was a technician who helped the Quintessons build the Transformers (in my fantasy world, the Transformers were not built 4000000 years ago, but circa 1972-1980, I had my own variation on the cartoon stories)! The reason would have been that when I started collecting Transformers (c. early Ocotber 1987), I had cribsy on my bed as I started fantasizing about the transformers in my collection beginning to be built on Cybertron.
I had popples they were cute and weird looking,did they each have names? well anyways i had a purple one and a yellow one and some sort of popple dog? it had four legs and it was alot shorter the the regular popples other then that it looked the same. My bother spun them around by the tail and ripped one off i thought that was a pretty bold move, lets just say i cried worse then that character off Care Bears named Shreky. :roll:

I loved my Popples ... I had the orange one, the white one, and a baby pink one. Oh I remember having this tiny one that was kinda hard and lotsa memorabilia stuff.

Oh I loved Puffball! She always cracked me up with staying so clean. Jeez. Sadly I never got any of the other Popples. :( But I'm still cool with Party cause she was my fav when I was little. Maybe I should get her out of my toy box.

Oh and yeah the live action was definitely creepy. I didn't get the point of them telling their parents about the Popples in the first episode. You can't have much of an adventure with their parents knowing. I saw the live action first episode on Youtube recently and I loved seeing the old clothes and glasses and stuff. Haha omgosh.

A popple dog? Hmm. I think I remember them having pets but not for sure. Many years ago when I was in like maybe fourth or fifth grade I found a prettybit (the purple one) piggy bank at this flea market and had to buy it. Thankfully my parents knew how much I loved Popples and did and it was pretty cheap if I'm remembering correctly. I still have it sitting on my dresser. Aww that's so sad with your Popple. One time my brother was playing with my Rainbow Brite doll and left it in my grandma's front yard and my uncle was living with her at the time and had a German Sheppard dog and it found my doll and tore her head off some and I cried too with that. Thankfully it was still able to be fixed and my dad did and I still have it. My brother used to throw my Popple around too but so did I so I wouldn't let things get too out of control. ;)
I loved Popples. I still have one, I don't know her name, she's mainly white with purple pouch and wears a purple bonnet and really colorful hair. Popples make me smile.

It sounds like your Popple is one of the little babies. I always get their name's confused though.

I think my popple is boxed up somewhere at my Mom's place. Along with Strawberry Shortcake, Apple Dumpling, Brenda Esther (my Cabbage Patch Kid), and my Hug-A-Bunches doll.
I had the popple that turned into a basketball and then a smaller one that was purple and had a green tuft on the top of its "inside-out" cover.
The Popples VHS was one of my fave movies to rent from the video store. it had a couple of the cartoons then a live action movie where they send the box the Popples were in to a Goodwill and the whole family went around looking for them.

Popples were cool because you could turn them into a ball, then throw them right at your dad's face when he's trying to watch Designing Women.

I never watched the cartoon but I still have my popple toy. My one is a purple one, its surposed to be some type of fruit or something.
