I hate to ask... especially since this tune is an instrumental. I'll try to give ya as many clues as I can to help figure out the name of the tune.

Firstly, it's a very smooth jazz type of tune.

Second, I remember hearing it on the radio- regular mainstream radio around 1990 or early 1991 right around the time "Wicked Game" was being played.

Third, I'm fairly certain that Kenny G is involved. It sounds like his sax, no it's not Songbird.

It's kind of an upbeat tune, with a guitar and then the sax. Guitar: "Bumbum, babum...." Sax: "Baba babaaa..." (Like it's playing the same notes the guitar was playing.

Now don't ask me why this weird early 90's Kenny G ditty is running through my head like it is ( I should say "has infected, invaided" my brain). It kinda brings back warm fuzzies though...

Strandysmommy, are you positive it was Kenny G.? I remember my parents playing the hell out of this David Sanborn c.d. around that time:

YES! Yes yes yes, that YouTube one is it. Hallelujah! Thank you! I guess more people than Kenny play the sax. And I downloaded so much Kenny.
