so i was working at a music store in '94, during my senior year in high school and my brother asks me to find a CD for him. The song he wants is 'Hobo Humpin Slobo Babe' by a band named 'Whale'. i had no clue what the hell he was talkin about so i looked it up when i got to work. there was no CD listed for this band but i did happen to find some 'not for resale' promo CD singles for the song a few weeks later in a bin of promo CDs that the store got from the record labels for in-store play so i grabbed 2 of them. i kept 1 for me and gave the other to my brother and i ended up loving the song.

Yeah i just posted the same song under the music forum for one hit wonders last week. i love this song.

I kept hearing that song all over the place in '94. Good thing I liked it, I kept hearing it on a university radio station in my area, the video was in heavy rotation on Much Music and I also saw it get the seal of approval on Beavis and Butt-head.

I remember the song but I'd never seen the video, until now. When a video has a little something for everyone, I call that nasty good fun.

dude... if i had known about this song at the time i wouldve loved it... but we didnt have cable and i wasnt allowed to listen to anything on the radio besides oldies... oh well... good stuff..
