I dont know about anyone else but The Gate is a movie I have not seen in a long time and I have never seen it anywhere on sale, there is a DVD but never seen it in the store.
So for no reason I looked it up on IMDB and saw that it was going to be on The Movie Channel tomorrow, Saturday at 8 o'clock (central time for me). So just in case any of my fellow retro junkies have been wanting to see The Gate I thought I would give a heads up.

Yes it is. The scene I always remember is when the kid looks at his hand and he has an eyeball growing in his palm and he stabs it with a shard of glass, yikes.
Yeah, that scene and the scene with the dog dying used to piss me off.
I haven't seen that film in ages, but I do have it on DVD which was recorded off of Encore a few years ago. It was a sort of a horror/adventure film. But it's okay for its time.
awesome movie don't care if it is not gorry it's jkust a fun movie to watch thinking about when you were a kid. I first saw this as a kid and my brother and cousins loved it... because it was a horror movie with kids, wich we could easily relate.. hell sometimes at night we'd look out the window and wonder if we'd see one of those minions staring back at us lol

I was in Junior High when this movie came out I remember that creepy commercial for it with that clip of the phone and those demons running around.
Coming on in 1 hour, I am so stoked!
Just finished watching it. Man that movie still creeps me out but it was awesome. For a movie that looked like it really didnt have a budget it sure had some great special effects for the time.
The part where he stabs the eye in his hand still makes me cringe. Also I had forgotten all about the guy that comes out of the wall, scary as hell.
