Does anyone remember their childhood blanket/blankies? I completely forgot what mine was until I saw it on ebay and I recognized it immediately.

Here it is...

What did your childhood blanket look like it and do you have a picture of it.

I had a blanket I used when I was a baby, but none of those "Security blankets" you carry around with you. My 11 year old sister still carries around her nasty security blanket, its not even a blanket anymore.....its just knots, its ripped so many times that its had to be tied in knots.

I wish I knew, she also sucks her thumb while she carries it, and thats the only time. Maybe she just wants to hold on to her youth? Not sure lol.

I actually still have my baby blanket here with me, im keeping it so I can use it for my future child. I'd take a picture but at the moment I have no camera. It doesn't have any generic character on it, just a bunch of little designs, its really cute and old looking.

thats a really good idea. I wish I still had my blanket. I remember it being ripped and stained so I threw it out. But Im gonna rebuy it so I can give it to my future kid.

I remember mine. I was big on Winnie the Poo as a baby and toddler so that's what my blanket was. I was never really attached to it like some kids are. I rememeber my aunt brought my cousins over to our house when they had scarlet fever. I ended up catching it and got really sick. Scarlet fever can cause heart probelm if it's not treated. Anyway I got it because my cousin tried to take my blanket and got his germs all over it.

Nickrules: You need to have your sister watch the movie Mr. Mom. There was a story line where the youngest kid had what he called a woobie. The dad (Michael Keaton) convenced the son to throw it in the fireplace later in the movie. The dad also threw his favorite shirt in it too.
Maybe you can get her to do the same thing?

I still have my childhood blanket, and I still use it at night (it's not a little kids blanket...if it was, than I wouldn't still use it). I got it when I was only 3...and it has a big picture of a tiger on it (kind of like Rocky's jacket he buys in Rocky II). I'm never going to get rid of it. I remember when my mom tried to get me to throw it away and get a new blanket about 10 years ago. No way.

LMAO!!!!!! My sister calls her "blanket" her "corner", she calls it that because she used to take the corner of it and suck her thumb. She'd never throw it away! im serious, when she loses it somewhere (because its so small), she cries for hours and throws fits. She turns into such a baby over that stupid rag.

Never had a 'blankie'. When I was a kid I was attached to some pillow and would always sleep on it. That thing's been long gone now.

Have her watch Mr. Mom and when it get to the part where the Kirby vaccum tries to eat his woobie, tell her the same might happen. Therefore she should lock it up somewhere safe. Or do like Suppernanny does when this kids refuse to give up their sippy cups, just throw it out and let her cry it out.

BTW who is that on your avatar? Is it Mario?

LOL. It came from some odd commercial for a Mario game on the PSP (or something) in Japan.

I had one with a teddy bear on it when I was really young, it was so comfy I basically needed it to sleep. Never got attached to a blanket again until seventh grade, I had this one that was so soft and furry that I masturbated with it every night.
                                      Game... ovahhhhhhhhh!!!

I used my mom's scarf as a security blanket and for some reason and called it Bebe.
