Is it the one when he says it to that catchy tune right after some sort of PSA (I believe there were multiple ones)? I'd like to see those again as well.
I'm pretty sure I remember that. I remember the address because of the tune he said it to.

It was this McGruff The Crime Dog PSA that aired sometime around the early to mid-90s. I can't really what it was about, but it had McGruff saying this address, "Scruff McGruff, Chicago, IL, 60652" twice and I can't seem to find that commercial on here or on Youtube.
Aw, that used to be *my* area code until I moved to the suburbs. I remember this commercial. Sadly I can't be of much help...
Mcgruff the crime dog was a psa on kids being responsible. Not talking to strnagers people reporting anything strange in the neighborhood with "neighborhood watches" and all kinds of stuff like that. They would send out a pamphlet if you requested one.
What surprised me was all the different versions of McGruff-The Crime Dog PSA's I saw as the decade progressed.
Shocker, one morning at 4:30 am on a Saturday was a half hour McGruff kids and crime - making the right choices as if your future depends on it - special. Saw it twice on the same tv station one month apart. Never saw it again.
In all the years I've watched tv, this special "talked up" to kids like real poeple, not jar-heads.
