Even though I already have Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3: The Complete Series and Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog Volume 1, I think it's cool that they combined them into one box set.
This set came out right after I bought Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog on DVD, and I already had AoSMB3. :(

I remember watching those shows, but I really disliked the villains. King Koopa appears to be a cross between Bowser and Wart, because he is shaped like Bowser with a splash of green and topped with a crown. This is due to the first American Mario cartoon being loosely based on Super Mario Bros. 1 and Super Mario Bros. 2/USA. Robotnik/Eggman seen in AoStH looks like he got his head stuck in a beehive for about an hour, while his attitude is about as cranky as Yosemite Sam's from the Looney Tunes/Merry Melodies series.

I still got to get Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog Volume 1. Not to mention Volume 2 is coming out in December while there's some single disc releases in the upcoming time.

Man, I so gotta get that, that reminds me they made a boxset with the Soul Music & Wyrd Sisters tv shows and the books come with it too

I have the complete series of Super Mario Bros. 3 but it did not come with The Adventures Of Sonic The Hedgehog. :( Maybe I bought my SMB 3 boxset too early.
