Fun sci-fi horror comedies with a bit of charm, gore and comical mayhem! i loved these since i was 7 back in 1989 on video, i think part 2 is better then the first cause it was bigger and had more action plus that awesome sequence where the bounty hunter transforms into a nude blonde playboy model and was my first exposure to full on screen nudity, i even developed a crush on her at 7.

The 1st two critters movies were great, the others not so much, watchable at most. The thing i liked about them were the fun movie slogans like, "you are what they eat", they eat so fast you won't have time to scream".I can't remember the rest without looking them up but they were great.

Yes "Critters 2" should have been the last one.

It still stuns me everytime I think about all the cool stuff we had in the 80's. By 1988 you had to be a zombie not to "get" the flat out fun of the "Critters" series. WOW, it just couldn't get any better! Yes, New Line Cinema milked this cow too many times but can you blame them? Ya gotta hit youtube and listen to the theme music again, makes me feel like I'm 40 again, lol!



So how good was it? "Critters 1" got the thumbs up from Gene Siskel and Roger Ebert. And I think Critters went Gold with #2. I can still hear the audience roar with laughter as the Critter gang "hammed it up" onscreen. Did you hear me? I said "hammed it up"! Omg, here I am in 2008 with cgi everywhere I look and a puppet movie from 20 years ago still knocks my socks off, truly outstanding.

Terrence Mann was too awesome as Ug/Johnny Steele. Plus, he wrote the movie's theme song.
