It scared me then, it scares me now. Bottom line- Pinwheel is scary. Anyone else catch my drift?

I can't remember if I found it scary or not. I know I enjoyed watching it, though, so I guess I didn't, but seeing clips from the show now...those puppets were kind of creepy like. lol

Pinwheel....one of the greatest kids shows EVER!!! :D I loved the variety...cartoons, puppets, claymation, live action. My sister and I would watch Pinwheel everyday before we went to school. I'm 31 and I miss that show most of all the shows that aired during my childhood. We look high and low to buy the dvd's from whoever has whatever of the show preserved, so that my neice...her daughter, can watch it.

Perhaps it was the cartoons that did it for some! Especially all those abstract varieties of Eastern Europe I grew up on!

If you look hard enough, you can practically find a lot of those shorts and stuff online if possible.

I actually have fond memories of Pinwheel. If you were a little kid around that time, it was a pretty decent variety show for you to zone out on. I think I enjoyed it more so because my parents would subscribe to cable television on and off. So when we did have cable, I would really soak that shit up.

And that's just what I did! The only other thing on at the time of the day in '82 would be the usual Big Three Networks stuff, or a bulletin board channel your cable company might operate set to "beautiful music". MTV would show up sooner or later, and added more competition for visual cocaine.

We had cable TV since the 70's in my household!

Pinwheel isn't scary....It had some bad early 80s vibes to it mostly due to the film used, but it wasn't scary.

If Pinwheel, Calliope, Zoobilee Zoo, The Great SpaceCoaster and Today's Special were magically brought back in syndication today...I'm looking at you Nickelodeon and Nick Tv Land, I would watch or dvr every episode.

But that doesn't matter to me. I enjoyed the shows then. I would enjoy them now and I could get my infant niece into quality children's programming at an early age and not the crap that exists at this moment. :)
