The Jean Doumanian/Dick Ebersol years of SNL have gotten very short shrift among most viewers. Even devout SNL fans like to pretend that 6th through 10th seasons never happened. That's a damn shame, too, because there were some great musical performances on the show. I caught this on a Comedy Central rerun in the late 90s.
