It sounds horrible. I tried listening to a grindcore song and it sounded like complete crap. You can't understand the vocalist and the music itself is subpar at best. Why do people like stuff like this?

Well, I don't get the appeal of nu metal, deathcore, metalcore or emo. I think they suck.

Some grindcore isn't that bad. The early stuff is okay, but the newer bands have output that is just a mess. I pretty much only have two bands I like that fit into this genre: Napalm Death and Cannibal Corpse.
But like Kyle said, it's definitely not for everyone. And anybody shoving it down anyone else's throat is just asking for trouble, like with all music. Our ears are precious, don't tell us what we should or shouldn't flood them with.

It is definitely not for everyone. If you can't handle music that is brutal, then you shouldn't listen to it. Stick to the Backstreet Boys or other softcore music that you like.
Grindcore definitely appeals to The Beagle Boys.
My favorite time to listen to grindcore is when I'm outside picking up sticks.

Back in the 80's and early 90's, those two groups were just considered Death Metal. If you like Napalm Death & Cannibal Corpse, there is a slew of other bands that should be right up your alley.
