1. American Splendor

2. Ghost World

These two movies sum up the way I look at the world more than any others. The sense of being totally disenchanted with mainstream societal conventions ("Give most people a Big Mac and a pair of Nikes and they're happy!"), and the examination of day-to-day, mundane life, both movies portray, really hits home with me. Enid and Seymour in Ghost World, and Harvey and Joyce in American Splendor, are more or less, myself.

I've seen Ghost World twice and I liked it better the second time. A great movie. 4,5/5

I have not seen either of these movies. Thank you for posting your thoughts on them, however. What are these movies rated?

Ghost World is most defiantly one of my favourite films as well, although I can't say the same about american splendor though since I have yet seen it.

Looks like this thread isn't about vladdt's favorite films anymore.
