When I first saw it, I thought it was the heaviest movie I'd ever seen, but now I can see the humor in it.

I know a guy who went completely insane because of this movie.
He definitely wasn't that great to begin with, but after he watched Fight Club all he did was try and act out everything in the movie. He definitely had a huge boner for Tyler Durden.

He would always get in these retarded discussions about how "Nothing matters, man...we should just do what the fuck we want...totally anarchy, dogg!"

And anytime he borrowed or broke anything of yours, he'd just be like, "dude, it's just material shit. Don't let your shit control you." That only applied to other people's stuff. If you busted up anything of his, he'd hound you about it 24-7.

He flushed his college scholarship down the toilet, and now he sells drugs to underage girls.
        Awesome!

I liked the movie when I saw it about 5 years ago. I don't know now though. A couple guys I know - both in IT jobs if that's any indication of how manly they are - kept quoting Tyler all the time and fucking ruined the movie for me. They didn't seem to get what it was about.

Its funny, because those are the kinds of guys the movie was making fun of.

              Exactly my point.

There was actually a real "fight club" sort of thing not far from where I lived where all these white collar guys take their shirts off and have bare knuckled fights to relieve stress. They do that Kali shit with the sticks as well. Sad. At least they aren't beating up their wives I guess...Assuming they have wives, which they almost certainly won't because "they don't need women bitchin' about material shit."

I think that the movie makes a good point about fighting. It is a complete rush, and its nice that people are finding safe outlets for that kind of thing. Better than getting into a bar fight and being charged for assult.

Great film. The movie made some very interesting points pikies. It's kind of disturbing that some people feel the need to act out the film though.

I didn't care for the movie. Its just a bunch of losers beating each other up because they have nothing better to do. And the end the main character is crazy, and made up the Brad Pitt character? Way to confusing.

I want to know where the idea for this movie came from. Was it just thought up or are there real fight clubs out there? I suppose it doesn't matter since I'm not man enough to join a fight club anyway. :?

Its based a novel. I forget who the author and the title of the book.

Now, a question of etiquette - as I pass, do I give you the ass or the crotch?

I thought Helen Bonham Carter was hot in this movie and wanted to do her. Now, she looks like an old lady. Isn't she shacked up with Tim Burton now?

It's totally great in a culture where if you throw one punch, you are screwed.

                                Oh yeah?
