I'm kind of more excited about Dark Knight. I'm sort of on the fence about Hellboy2. I hope it's good though.

I saw it yesterday (I'm a big sucker for monster movies). I liked it, it was fun, it was visually stimulating, the creature effects were awesome, it was imaginative, it was a very enjoyable movie. It wasn't perfect, however, the characters lacked depth (which in my opinion was the only major problem with the first Hellboy), but it was good. You can tell that Guillermo Del Toro had a great time making this movie.

                the characters lacked depth
I actually loved the fact it looked more like they were using traditional costumes instead of CGI. It had a classic Star Wars-ish feel in that way (not to mention Abraham's similar mannerisms to C-3PO), and I was really happy to see that in such a recent movie.
                Game... ovahhhhhhhhh!!!

I meant as far as character development, they lacked depth. The costumes were great!

Oh... seriously? I liked it, there was a good contrast of characters to me, and pretty much all of them changed except for Hellboy, but would you seriously want him to?

It was good that they got rid of that John Myers character for the sequal.

I agree. The first one had that whole historical myth thing, which is something that made Hellboy such an interesting and unique comicbook. The second one just had a bunch of creatures taken from a D&D manual.
