Im guessing last year's trial of Pepsi Throwback was a success, this year Pepsi is doing it again with new retro labels and real sugar. I saw these in the grocery store yesterday as was pretty excited seeing the design for the first time. The Mountain Dew font used appears to be going back into the 1950s/1960s, Im a 90s kid so its before my time, but either way I love retro logos. The pepsi can is using the familiar 1970s/80s and maybe even early 90s design with the white background instead of blue which I remember them switching to in the late 90s.

You can check out some pictures here:

It looks like its only available until the end of February, hopefully PepsiCo will eventually decide to make the real sugar product permanent, but for now grab some before its gone and enjoy the new labels which I like a lot better than the 2009 Pepsi Throwback

You would think that the advert of "real sugar" would hurt sales of the standard Pepsi with "cancer sugar" in it.

Yes, IDK why real sugar is classified as such a bad thing. It has calories, but its natural adn your body knows how to digest it. Humans and animals have been eating sugars since the dawn of time, why change a good thing.

The first impression I get from throwback Pepsi vs regular is that I dont have that sticky, syrupy aftertaste that you get from regular Pepsi. Instead it actually tastes somewhat refreshing.

Im not telling Pepsi to pull regular pepsi. I know Throwback Pepsi costs more to make, but the consumer will pay more since its a better product. It may not be "good" for you, but the ingredients list is easier to pronounce.

            damn straight on the spice!

            corn syrup blows.

            go team sugar!

            it's a government corn conspiracy.

watch "food inc." and the "future of food" docu's.

Thank all the sugar tariffs and corn subsidies going on since the 1970s, which have slowly allowed HFCS to spread like a virus. :x
