Here's mine...
10. The Dark Knight (2008]--One of the most amazing and dramatic action films I've seen in years. I love the late Heath Ledger's sinister portrayal of the Joker in contrast to Jack Nicholson's comedic portrayal in the 1989 Tim Burton film.

9. X-Men Trilogy (2000-2006)--One of the first big Superhero movies and new series since the abysmal and homoerotic Joel Schumacher vehicle, Batman and Robin nearly killed the genre in 1997. Hugh Jackman really stands out as the stoic anti-hero, Wolverine while Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen shine as powerful rivals Professor X and Magneto.
8. Spider-Man Trilogy (2002-2007)--I've always been a Spider-Man fan and when I heard that Hollywood was finally bringing my favorite superhero to the big screen, I was nothing short of exstatic. The first two films featured excellent storytelling, captivating character development, and terrifying villains and while I liked the third film too I felt it fell flat after about a half hour. I didn't care for Flint Marko a.k.a Sandman all that much as I didn't think he was an interesting villain. Venom, who is my all time favorite, only got about twenty minutes of screen time and was quickly thrown away with a cheap death. Then about two thirds into the movie, they had to go and make Peter Parker all emo to reflect his darker side. This never happened in the comics. All in all while I thought Spidey 3 was the weakest film in the series, the whole series is fantastic and spell binding on the whole.

7. Up (2009)--In the tradition of Pixar films, they are always reinventing themselves through animation and storytelling with each new movie continuing to set the bar. Up is no exception. I thought Up was a moving and beautiful story about a man named Carl who had lived and loved and then through the years forgot what it was like to love and feel a sense of adventure that he once had when he was a young boy. Only through meeting an eager and friendly "Wilderness Explorer" scout, Russell is Carl able is go on the journey of a lifetime and discover what he was missing in life. Up has the distinct honor of being one of only three movies I've seen in my entire life to actually make me cry in the movie theater along with Titanic and Revenge Of The Sith. Don't laugh at me about crying at a Star Wars movie. Order 66, Padme's death, and especially Anakin and Obi-Wan's final duel and Anakin's transformation into Darth Vader were all very emotional moments. I had been imagining what Obi-Wan and Anakin's final battle would be like since I was 11 years old and to finally see it on the silver screen caused me to cry buckets...But I digress...LOL
6. Transformers (2007)--Oh boy...the movie that caused me to be bitten by the Transformers bug all over again and the reason why I now have a sizable collection of Transformers toys. I'll admit it. When I heard Michael Bay was going to be directing this movie I got a little scared but then I remembered that little four-year-old boy who once had a little yellow Bumblebee mini-con action figure. That little boy was me and I remember being so crushed when I lost that toy when I think it was accidentally put in a garage sale and sold to some other little boy or girl...then 17 years later I started writing on and contributing to a little site called Retro Junk (maybe you've heard of it...LOL) and I started writing to people about all things retro including Transformers. Then I heard they were making a Transformers film and my interest was piqued. Then, I remember being at Target some months later with my aunt and then I saw it. It was a Transformers Legends class mini Bumblebee figure. I had to buy him. It was like being reunited with an old friend. Then I kind of forgot about Transformers for a while until I moved and found Bumblebee in one of my boxes packed with my G.I. Joes and other miscellaneous figures and Hot Wheels. Then I had been keeping up to date on the sequel Revenge Of The Fallen and after I saw the second movie, I started buying a bunch of the other Legends class figures to go with Bumblebee. They were neat and I loved the scale of the figures. Ahhh...Transformers. Certainly more than meets the eye.

5. The 40-Year-Old Virgin (2005)--Wow. 40-Year-Old Virgin was a funny movie and the first film that really introduced me to the comedic genius of Steve Carell and Seth Rogen. I remember sleeping over at my cousin's house quite a few years ago now and we both wanted to watch a funny movie as we always seem to do when we get together. Either that or some
