Sounds pretty cool though. The premise of Dragonball Kai always sounded interesting to me: less filler, closer to the original manga. So yeah, I'm interested.

It's the same as Dragon Ball Z. It's just the entire series (291 episodes) cut down into 100 episodes in total with no filler and none of those full episode stare-downs. So it's basically just a faster paced, hard-boiled, action-only version of DBZ. It does have a (very few) amount of new animations and it's remastered in HD. It has most of the original FUNimation voice cast except young gohan, bulma, and a few other (more minor) characters are being recast. The first dvd and blu-ray volume is out on May 18th, 2010.
That kinda sucks, those filler episodes were good(garlic jr. saga for instance)
And the "stare down" episodes really built up the suspense back then.
I remember not being able to wait and talking about it to my friends at school what could happen next and speculating.

I can't say I'm excited to see it on a Nick Network, but it is good to see something DBZ on TV again, at least

I was personally not a fan of the long fights. Like the Frieza fight being like a full season. I like quick one episode kills. For the filler, I like some of it and hate some of it. Either way, I think Kai is gonna be a good watch.
