pokemon ticked me off ever since i first heard of it. i watched kids literally cry over losing little pieces of paper (pokemon cards), saw fights and arguments develop over pokemon, and then i watched it go out of style and laughed at how much time, effort, and money those kids had squandered for all that worthless crap.

LOL I saw the same thing here. I really hate to see what kids of when Pokemon was (and kinda still) a craze are learning from that. Pokemon is just generally damned repetitive and boring, save for a few ceatures that do kick ass (Charized comes to mind).

I liked the first season but all the others were dumb.

The games are cool. Some say they're "kiddy", but the games have stuff that most 7-year-olds could barely understand! The show (US dub) was good for the first two seasons, but it went downhill after that. I don't really care for the cards.

I remember in school some dumb kicks beat the snot out of a another child cause he won a pokemon game and got 10 cards from them, they beat him like he stole something that justs made me sad :cry: why they would care about a little hologram pic on paper
when said hologram is first edition and is wirth the most out of all the cards in the series

i have 2 gamùes the yellow for the color ( never played it) and the saphire played it but the cartoon are far to boring
I don't really hate it, but I don't understand it these days. I tried watching it a couple of years ago, but I was like 'Huh? Brock's back? Ash is wearing a different hat? I thought there were only 150 Pokemon?'
Pokemon holds a special place in my heart as the last of my childhood obsessions. I was 13/14 during the original Pokemon craze, so probably pushing it to be collecting the cards and taking my GB and link cable with me everywhere, but I'm glad I got one last toy/collecting fad before I had to grow up. I mean, I collect old toys and comics and stuff now, but it's not the same doing it as an adult.

I don't hate it, I just don't really care for it. I'm from the GIJoe/Transformers generation so I was already in college when Pokemon busted onto the scene.

I like the opening theme that they did for the first season. Beyond that, I'm not really fond of the show. As for the games... yeah, I sort of stopped after getting Sapphire. Didn't really go for much beyond or before that.

Pokémon is alright. Cute in the beginning even though the kids were annoying about it... now the hype has gone down, but the show is like...???
Pokemon, I never understood it, It always makes me think of that Chimpokomon parody on South Park. If any anime I like, it's old 80's Vampire Hunter D, before everything was popular in that area.

It's the same with me. I was that same age when I fell to the Pokémon craze, and it was also my last. I like the GameBoy games and the GB games only. For some reason the creators just spaz out or something when they try to make a 3D one for some reason. Even they are starting to go down hill I noticed when I played a little of Ruby a few years back.
I also liked the anime for the first season or so. Until every single episode became the same exact theme over and over sans different characters and locations.
Ironic how today I watched the two episodes that were on this morning. The first time I've seen any of them in so long. I also spent about four hours straight today playing Leaf Green (raising a Larvitar to a Tyranitar[SP?]). I haven't touched LG in a long while either, but recently picked it up again when I was bored. I was just playing a little a bit ago too when the battery in the DS died. -_- Luckily I didn't lose much.
