70's by far ruled the "Best Music" era, hands down.

I think the 80s was the best decade in music on so many levels. Great Love Songs, Dance songs, Rock songs, etc. from great memorable artists.

To me the 90's was the best decade in music. But I still think the 70's and 80's were good decades in music.

The 70's were the best. I really don't like alot of 80's or 90's music.

A tough call. I can think of excellent music from every decade from the '60s to today. Of course, I can also think of horrid crap from each decade as well. In a pinch, I'd say the '60s.

If you pretend disco never existed, I'd say 1970's. Very influental era. Birth of metal, punk, and southern rock. Some great country music too.

Each decade brought something different and good. So I would not say one is superior over the other.

Just going on rock music, the 70's. The 90's would be a close runner up if you didn't have to count anything made past 97.

Hey, there are a lot of redeeming qualities in disco! It was a time where everyone couldn't wait for the future, so they all pretended to be in it! Buck Rogers, straight from the disco era! Crazy ass music with laser sounds and all kinds of crazy colors and lights! Wacky dances that noone in their right mind would do, unless they were in the future!

I would say the 60s and 70s. Best time for rock music. I like 80s music the second most. I don't listen to that much 90s music but there's some bands I like from that era. I don't even bother listening to the music today.
