A tough call. I can think of excellent music from every decade from the '60s to today. Of course, I can also think of horrid crap from each decade as well. In a pinch, I'd say the '60s.

Hey, there are a lot of redeeming qualities in disco! It was a time where everyone couldn't wait for the future, so they all pretended to be in it! Buck Rogers, straight from the disco era! Crazy ass music with laser sounds and all kinds of crazy colors and lights! Wacky dances that noone in their right mind would do, unless they were in the future!

I would say the 60s and 70s. Best time for rock music. I like 80s music the second most. I don't listen to that much 90s music but there's some bands I like from that era. I don't even bother listening to the music today.
