It's weird. I was channel flipping at mid-day and The Littles is on. The Wonderful World Of Dic.

I noticed it when I was flipping through channels early one morning a few weeks ago. I used to watch The Littles series sometimes...but what I really loved watching was the movie. The one where the kid has to go live with his mean uncle and the Littles try to rescue him.

Never have read the books.

What other cartoons should they bring back to Saturday Mornings?

Yes I even have recordings of it. I just wish they would put more good shows on there.

It is a spinoff of The Borrowers.
Essentially, a family off tiny little people that would fit in your palm that live inside the walls of our houses. In the Littles cartoon, a roughly 12 year old boy discovers the family of Littles when the dink children accidentally get caught out in the open.

General "little people in a big world" adventures, while Henry Dink (the boy) tries to help keep anyone else from discovering them. The "villian" for the show was a mad scientist type that wants to expose the Littles to the world. He didn't show up a whole lot, and it was more general situational antics and the parents that provided most of the plot incentive.

Uh, yes, it is. The original "little people living in your house" was The Borrowers, written by Mary Norton in 1953. The Littles is quite literally a modern cartoon adaption of The Borrowers, right down to the thimble chairs and matchbox closets.

Dude, this show has been airing in syndication since 2003. It's part of Dic Entertainment's TV programming block. I remember back in 2005 The Smurfs was aired in syndication and in 2004-2005 they aired The Berenstein Bears and later Captain Planet was brought to syndication (a few months after Cartoon Network took it off the air.)

Don't the newer versions seen on TV cut and have sped-up credits to make room for a plaster? The old versions would just have the credits run at normal speed and the theme plays during the logo.

As a kid, I didn't like the show for reasons unknown. I guess it was boring to me. But whenever I happen to see this show, it reminds me of those times. It still airs in the morning where I live.

Actually the main boy's name in the series was Henry Bigg and the series is based on the book series by John Peterson that started in the 60's.

The Littles is now coming to DVD (all 29 episodes in a 5-disc set) thanks to "S'more Entertainment."

check out my Yahoo Group (with video, music, galleries, etc of the series) to reply to the DVD releaser and let them know what you want for extras. They are asking for suggestions. or send an email to [email protected]

Let's get The Littles the DVD Release it deserves! I'm personally (being a big fan of the series) hoping for audio commentary, interviews, storyboards, or something along those lines ^_^

I saw that to awhile ago I actually sat down and watch it. The one I saw was about the boy faking to be sick to help the littles. I never new that the littles were some what biblical/ a little like gilbert back in the day.
