Has anyone heard about Alec Baldwin leaving a nasty message on his daughters phone? In it, he says harsh things about ex-wife, and says mean things to his own child. Apperently he got mad becuase she did not answer the phone he got her.

I personally can't believe that he spoke to his child like that? And he does not even know how old she is. To think I watch him everyweek on 30 Rock.

What do you think about Alec Baldwin, and his comments?

I don't know i mean that clip came from TMZ. I don't trust anything from that site. I mean if you're a celebrity and do anything (good/bad/unimportant) it will end up on TMZ.

Maybe she'll learn to pick up the damn phone next time her dad calls, so she doesn't embarrass him.

Oh, Adventure of Link, I doubt that Alec Baldwin reads the retrojunk forums, so I think Brick Wall will be alright.

Wow! I mean, I don't feel like I can really criticize all that much because I don't know their family situation, but it certainly seemed like it might have been a bit much to say to just an 11 year old. I mean, she's only a kid, jeez.

I didn't hear the mp3 put up with the conversation, but, it was shown on television through the News, Inside Edition, and if I'm not mistaken, even Entertainment Tonight has played the conversation. Seems that having it online wouldn't really be that much of a big deal, would it? Seems the privacy thing wouldn't truly apply since it's already been shared in other ways in a more, "legal" manner.

I know something most people don't know. TMZ.com is owned by Warner Bros. True fact.

Anyway, I saw this phone call on Countdown w/ Keith Olbermann.

I don't know what to think.... I've always thought that Alec Baldwin was an asshole anyways... but it was very wrong to speak to his daughter that way - no child should be talked to that way, no matter what they've done! oh, and give Josh a break, he's just trying to do his job....

So this may be stereotypical, but I think most celebrities are assholes.... and his behavior just shows it....

I think Baldwin should keep the recording around so he can use it for his next role. It reminds me of his wicked-awesome scene in Glengarry Glen Ross:

"You see this watch? You see this watch? That watch costs more than your car. I made $970,000 last year, how much you make? You see pal, THAT'S who i am and you're nothing."

I don't quite care much for celeb's, but I'll say this. We would have to walk a mile in his shoes before we pass judgment on him.

We don't really know anything about his private life. I can understand his situation though. I'm divorced as well. (Married at the ripe age of 19 and divorced at the old age of 23 lol.) I know my ex-wife can be very verbaly abusive, manipulative and sly. She's even crossed the line a few times by being physically abusive. So for all we know, Alec Baldwin could be fed up with her and the sh*t she pulls. (If she is like that. I wouldn't know.)

But even though his X might be a total a**hole, he shouldn't let that go out on his elleven year old daughter. That is wrong. It's not her fault they divorced, and it's not her fault the way her mother is (or isn't.) I'm sure it's already tough on her the way things are. And Mr. Baldwin shouldn't add to it. She should see her father as a safe and happy person where she feels comfortable. The same with her mother.

I think that everyone involved in the matter should just take a break from it all and find some "me time" and do some heavy thinking. A clear head usually helps you see the error in your ways.

                                      Peace,
                                      JT

The irony of this is, my local news aired that voicemail, then proceeded to say that by airing it is a breach of privacy.

                                        irony ftw.
