I already miss things from 2000, 2001, 2002, and 2003! Please add a section for those years soon...2003 is gonna be 5 years next new years! Web designer for this site, start a section ASAP for the 2000s!!!! ;)
its been said for the 1000th time being afew years old dosent make it retro its just old if you want somewhere to act like this your on the wrong site

the 2000's suck. That's why it's not on here.
The only good things the 2000s brought us was Friday Night Lights and The Simpsons movie. Other than that....bleh.

The 2000s from 2000-2004 was great but 2005-now is just bleh. There are some 2005-now things I like but i'd rather be living in the past than in the present as of this moment. Anway I agree with jarjar it'll be nice if they added an early 2000s section but it would probabily require the following:
- A tread with users on this sites opinions.
- A massive amount of early 2000s fans.
- Approval by admins/mods.
And maybe a few other things.

With listings for TV shows like "That's So Raven" and movies like "Seed Of Chucky", the decade is already making in-roads. I'm in the same boat as the OP, though. This decade has been a great one for me, much better than the 90s, and if an 00s section were to go up tomorrow, I would feel great, and I'm not ashamed to admit it. Flame me all you want, but this decade has many good memories for me.
As for what nostalgia is and isn't, to my eye, no matter when it happened, if you have positive thoughts about it, then it can be seen as nostalgia.

It probably won't happen till the year 3000, if anyone wants to remember it by then. LOL! XD

Another thread on the 2000s being on retro junk, oh wow, how exciting.
I'm being sarcastic of course.
This is all up to Vertex, not us.
The only sections I visit are the 70s and 80s sections.

I like Retrojunk the way it is. If someone would like to make their own website, that would be good. I grew up in the late 80's and early 90's. So this feels like home to me.
Only someone with the username "jarjar" could dream up something as ridiculous as this.

Nahh, let's just use logic-- the 2000's will never be retro until at least like... 2011... or something. Anyways, the early 2000s really weren't THAT different from now. I mean, it was a tiny bit different; hey at least in 2003 we were actually making some headway in the Iraq War! But seriously... I was only 7 when the 2000s came and I even think it's a bit too soon for this. Let's keep the site the way it is; maybe we can add 2000's sections when flying cars, wacky space helmets, and cloaking devices are all the rage...

I don't think the 2000s have a place on RJ because it's going to be a long time before they can be considered "retro". I think the generation who will be nostalgic for the 00s should make their own website, as I personally feel that this decade doesn't belong on a site about the 70s, 80s, and 90s.

When people finally stop asking this redundant question. Or 2010, as answered in most of the dozens of other threads asking the same. Seriously, why would a retro site cover things from 3 years ago? Do you see stupidity here?

I dont know what was good in the 2000s. maybe me graduating from high school in 2006 was a good thing but i cannot see anyting else good with them.
Music became horrible. especially from 2000-2003 most radio stations werent even worth turning on. Cartoons lost their creativity and humor. Most music channels dont even show music anymore, Cellphones became WAY over-used, "Emo" became popular, i could go on...
