What're some of the crappiest International Webnet fads you've ever stumbled upon? Whether they annoyed you to no end, or it was just incredibly assinying. Let's see!!

I think the Goatse fad was dumb. C'mon, who wants to see that?

I'm definitely sick of seeing words like "pwned", "owned", and "noob".
    That crap's just nerd language.

We're all adults here, so can somebody please tell me what "pwned" means?

...and "noob" means newbie? What does it all mean?

I agree with Harry, words like that are just goofy.

And people using "BBQ" (i.e. omgwtfbbq) or spelling out the word "one" (i.e. OMG!1!!1!one) as internet slang or a forum joke...oh, and ROFLCOPTER...that one makes me want to gouge out my eyes.

Fortunately, not many people at all still use "1337 speak", but that particular fad certainly deserves a mention for a worst internet fad.

Gitoku- "pwned" is just a mis-spelling of "owned", seen frequently as the "o" and "p" on a keyboard are right next to one another, and because people don't seem to care enough to just fix their spelling errors anymore.

Thanks for explaining the "pwned" thing.

              There's a fad I hate - though I don't know if it is really a fad - but it's associated with youtube.

For instance: There is a crappy video that lasts 1:27. Rather than ignore it or move on, some people post a video response saying "What was that? I mean...I want my 1 minute 27 seconds back"

They actually took the time to film themselves saying that? Do they think they were the first one to come up with "I want my 2 minutes back"? Rubbish.

I was at a site where they used those words like religion, I'm glad I stopped going there.

noob and newb, and noobie mean new guy

In some cases "noob" is slang for a spammer or someone who the majority of the forum dislikes.

I think the emo trends are starting to get old, too. Sure, you can be sad, you can complain, but must you be a STEREOTYPICAL emo?

Actually, 1337 (leet) is used a shit-load. You probably just don't go to the sites I do. The sites I run around on sometimes have more teens on them than adults. Leet is still highly in use. Especially on Yahoo. I don't talk to those who use it. They annoy me.

And what is ROFLCOPTER? I know what ROFL is, but what the hell is the COPTER part?

It may be tired to point this out, but a lot of stuff that's really on YouTube and other sites kind of gets on my nerves. It's mostly just people acting like total freaks of nature just to get attention. Am I the only person on the planet who never thought Numa Numa was all that funny?

                              Off-topic . . . CSM! You're back! :D

Huge signatures that are 800x1200. They are bigger than the actual post.

Myspace pictures, especially the ones taken in front of the bathroom mirror.

Myspace pages with so much crap on it like videos, animated icons, and sparkle letters your browser crashes.
