There was a false bomb threat today at my school. One of my friends said she saw a message for another one set for this tuesday and I'm scared it might be real! I'm scared the school might get blown up even with the extremely small, minimal chance it will happen.
I doubt it's real. I'm sure someone just put a post-it on the door so school gets closed the next day.

My HS was put on lock down for the whole day because some whore brought an airsoft gun on the bus and everyone thought it was a real gun.
Phh, I had a bomb scare back in 9th grade at my high school--turned out to be a soda can with a fuckin' battery taped to it.
Relax its probibly nothing to loose sleep over, and besides the insane person is not going to try anything because theres what....................100, 200 plus people watching his evry move.

My school had 3 bomb threats last year, and all of them were hoaxes, but then again, I live in canada, the most violence you hear of around here are hunting accidents, if you're really worried, just stay home until it's safe

My middle school had 3 or 4 real bombs in it one day.
My high school holds the state record for bomb threats. During my junior year (05-06) we had 190 bomb threats. That's more than 1 per day of school.
We had sniper scares, a stabbing, and pretty much everything else you could think of.
I'm still alive... Unfortunately.

Gotta love how easily that can be abused, huh?
Don't listen to these guys kid. There is actually a great chance that someone will blow up your school. There is a very good chance they are gunning for you specifically. My advice is to stop going. Make your mom take you to psychiatrist, whom will have the authority to excuse you from school due to PTSD. Then you can sit at home all day, watch Dragonball Z re-runs, and wank it while eating Chee-tos.

Well apart from what killface said, you are all right. Plus, last night, I kind of self-helped myself when I realized "Come on, What are the exact odds of someone between 14 and 21 in the lowest crime area of my city bringing a bomb to the safest area any kid could possibly be?" Also, like I said, the principal announced that these type of threatening writings are common in schools-like how a few of you said the same happened to you. So, I am no longer worried and putting in a thread lock request.

We used to get bomb threats at our school all the time in the mid 90s. We'd have to line up on the oval for 10 or 20 minutes whilst the Fire Department tried to look like they were searching for a bomb. Then, after a few minutes of "searching", we'd all be allowed back in to class.

Ah, but whether you like him or not, you've got to respect the level of authority in which he can present such a case. He's like Cheney in that regard.
If nothing else, you should heed his ominous and likely prophetic claim as a warning.
Also, should things happen, run, don't look back, don't try to save your mates, just get out of there.
I didn't have to deal with any of that growing up. The closest we came to it was a few days after the Columbine attacks when they asked the students to step outside the building. I was nervous, but it turns out it was only being done for us to gather for a memorial ceremony.
Other than that, it was just fire drills...Always a nice chance to get a respite from whatever was going on in class.
