Back in the 80's and 90's I used to go to the Star Trek/Scifi/Comic Book conventions every year when they came to the SF Bay Area. But I got tired of going to conventions and spending money on collectibles that do nothing but collect dust. I've been thinking about selling the junk I have on ebay when the economy gets back to normal.

Anyway, I went to BK for dinner last night and I noticed they were selling Star Trek collectible glass cups. So for the first time in 20 years I bought a collectible Captain Kirk cup from BK.

Awesome. I've seen those stupid commercials that BK's running for them.

Are they expensive? I might invest in Spock.

I think they are 1.99 if you buy a value meal.

Oh. I was thinking they'd be like, ten bucks a piece.

I guess buying a full set might be worth it, then. They'd look great alongside my Star Wars Pepsi cans.

I'd like to pick up a few but my "local" Burger King is a bit out of my way.

No Dr. McCoy? I'd have paid 6.99 for that one alone.

Im a huge StarTrek fan. I had to travel to three different BK's to get these. (They were sold out at my two local ones) I was relieved and disappointed that they didn't have Spock at my third visit but I luckly got Kirk and Nero.

The search lasted for two hours. Crazy, Aren't I?

Personally, I would have waited until someone was selling the whole set on ebay.

I totally want to get some of these, but I hardly eat at bk. Is the veggie burger part of the value menu?

They look cool but are nothing compared to the awesome might of the 1995 frosted Batman Forever Mugs from McDonalds.

And it's pretty much a steal at $1.99, how on earth could you not buy one?!

I am not a Star Trek fan (Though I did enjoy the new movie), so I am not sure if I want these glasses. I remember when they did the Lord of the Rings goblets back in 2001, which was back before I got interested in the films.
