Based on the popular and legendary DC Comics character, this was classic early animated adventures of Superman. Disguised as everyday reported, Clark Kent, in times of need he quickly dons the heroic alter ego know as Superman fighting for Truth, Justice and the American Way. The series was the first time in any media Superman was officially given the power of flight. Produced by Fleischer Studios and later known as Famous Studios. These shorts were also a pioneer in the art of Rotoscoping, inspiring many artists in various medias. Seventeen shorts were produced over a two year period. The shorts all Public Domain and have aired on various television network.
