Inchon
Release: January 01, 1982

A war epic directed by Terence Young and based on the Battle of Inchon during the Korean war, starring General Douglas MacArthur (played by legend Lawrence Oliver), Barbara Hallsworth (played by Jacqueline Bisset), and U.S. Major Frank Hallsworth (Ben Gazarra). The film starts in 1950, with a North Korean army passing the 38th parallel north to South Korea. Barbara, who was notified over the attack, heads to Seoul, where her husband starts having a affair with a Korean woman. Major then realizes about the battle is ensuing, and searches for his wife with assistance from Sargent August Henderson (Richard Roundtree). The U.S. eventually manages to drive North Korea out of the parallel, and MacArthur recites God's Prayer at the end. Released by MGM/UA in September 1982, Inchon was the biggest financial flop of the year, grossing only $5,200,000 at the box office, far less than its $46 million budget. Reception of the film was almost universally negative and is often regarded as one of the worst films ever. Inchon recieved four Razzie Awards, including Worst Picture, Worst Director (Young), Worst Screenplay, and Worst Actor (Oliver). As of the present time, Inchon has not been released on home video or DVD, or has been shown on television, mostly due to its failure. Bootleg copies of the film do still exist and can be found on the Internet. (Created by: Mariorules)
