Gaming Classics #2: M.U.G.E.N

My review about a fighting game that is under the user's total control
June 03, 2013
Have you ever wondered if Batman could take out Yoshi? Or if Fox McCloud could take on Chuck Norris? If you are wondering how these questions could be answered, look no further than M.U.G.E.N. This amazing game allows you to make your own fighting game for FREE. Although nobody quite knows when it was released.

The Story: There really is no story here. It's basically a game that works kinda like Street Fighter (In fact you can actually download Street Fighter characters for your M.U.G.E.N.)

The Controls: If you actually try to play M.U.G.E.N, the keys you'll use are as follows: ' , . / L ;
The Unique Aspects: What's really cool about M.U.G.E.N is that you can download user created stages, characters & new looks from the Internet. This gives the user complete creative control over the game.

The Flaws: There is only one flaw for M.U.G.E.N and that's the fact that some characters are difficult to K.O.

My Memories: When I started to make M.U.G.E.N games in 2009, I found it very difficult to set up because it was a pretty complex game to configure. Eventually I got the hang of adding characters and stages. On January 27th, 2013 I started to make my own M.U.G.E.N stages for the M.U.G.E.N fan base to download. (Some of them are featured in this article.) In fact most of the screenshots for this review are from my personal M.U.G.E.N game.

The Final Verdict: At the end of the day, M.U.G.E.N is a great fighting game despite its flaws. But it's still playable.
If you want to start your own M.U.G.E.N game, just go to Google and search "MUGEN download" (You don't need the dots in between the letters.) I also have a link to download any of the 100+ stages that I made:
My score for M.U.G.E.N is 9.5/10
