The Tom & Jerry Show (1975)

Show Summary

Aired: 1975 - 1977
Show Type: Animated
Country of Origin: US

The 1975 Hanna-Barbera version of the series of cat & mouse duo Tom & Jerry. Here, in a much toned down, non-violent, Yogi Bear/Boo Boo-esque format (in order to satisfy ABC-TV Broadcast Standards and Practices), the long-popular Tom & Jerry, after years of rivalry, have become the best of friends (and Jerry dons a red bowtie, so the animators would be able to "fragment" his movments.)

Wow! How to write an "A" essay lol !

AH3RD I totally agree with you and you are very opionated about this one especially. I, for one, loved this altered TV version from the theatrical series from the past just as much. I think the intro is was got me. It's amazing what you haven' seen for years and still remember quite vividly. Classic stuff, I tell ya Classic stuff'

The last time I saw it was in 2004 on the local Telemundo (the original one, located in Puerto Rico) in these sequence: first they passed T&J Kids completely; after all the episodes were shown then they put the HB 1975 T&J, and after that bunch of episodes were shown they put the Filmation Tom & Jerry. Those were good times until they put Mona The Vampire at that hour. Awful...

*pukes* Tom and Jerry is nothing without violence, I guess I'll stick to the originals.

The originals from the 40's and 50's are classic. From the 60's on the storylines and the anime were much worse.
