Belle and Sebastian

Belle and Sebastian is a coming of age story about a young boy and his dog. It started in Japan in 1981 and aired on Nick Junior from 1984-1990.

Belle was a large white dog that lived in the mountains and had been outcast by the villagers. Belle was reported to be evil, but only Sebastian knew better.

Sebastian has never known his mother, he was raised by a man named Cecil since he was a baby. He starts to wonder about his mother and goes on many adventures in the Pyrenes Mountains of France with Belle to find her. His mother is a traveling gypsy that had left him in the care of Cecil vowing to return someday.

remember this show. It was one of my little sister's favourite's when we were young. She can't remember it now, though. Guess she was just too young then.

I was six when this show aired on Nick and I totally fell in love with it. I remember them running through the countryside and I thought that would be the most fun thing ever. Micey thanks for the info about the DVD, I'd love to see it again.

am i wrong or did he eventually find his mom? i cant tell if i dreamt it or something but i remember being really stressed out about it haha. I also remember Belle hiding in the little girl's closet filled with stuffed animals and thinking it was awsome that sebastian had a girlfriend. great show.

I don't remember watching Belle and Sebastain when I was little, but my dad told me that I did.

He found his mother and Belle was no longer considered a white monster in the final episode. Nickelodeon has so many good show on back in the days.
