In the wake of Budget cuts at NBC, The suits at the network have decided to cancel the "Sports Machine" in order to save money. Subsequnetly, George Michael has announced his retirement from WRC-TV as their lead Sportscaster. Too bad, I always liked George on a Sunday Night.

I had not heard that the show was cancelled. That's a shame. It was an entertaining show, and I watched it regularly, especially before I got cable TV. He did some good reporting on lesser known sports as well.

Wow I didn't know this was still on, much less just now ending. My dad used to watch this show all the time back in the day before we had cable too.

You know it's funny, I always saw this on TV, but never watched it. When I was younger I always wondered why George Michael needed to cover sports while being a music star.
