The Moxy & Flea Show

Show Summary

Aired: 1994 - 2000
Show Type: Animated
Country of Origin: US

A show about a 3-D animated dog named Moxy who has a crush on Josie and the Pussycats, as well as his sidekick, Flea. Originally, back in 1994, it was a one hour masterpiece called The Moxy Pirate Show, which at that time was the only non classic show airing on Cartoon Network. Then in 1995, it was renamed The Moxy Show. In 1998, Flea was introduced to the show and became an instant star. Due to Flea's popularity, the show was renamed The Moxy & Flea Show. That incarnation was cut down to only 30 minutes. Moxy is voiced by famous comedian Bobcat Goldthwait, and Flea is voiced by famous illusionist Penn Jillette. The show was removed from Cartoon Network on April 1st 2000; the same day when most classic cartoons were moved off of Cartoon Network and transfered to Boomerang. However, The Moxy & Flea Show did not go to Boomerang and has not aired since. Although they are not shown anymore, it's still considered to be Cartoon Network's first ever original creation.

I have never seen this show at all on Cartoon Network, but it seems like something I would have wanted to watch.

Yeah man! This is one of the first shows that I ever remember on CN! It used to be in a primetime slot. Oh the memories...

Wish TV was more like wine, getting better with age. But its more like milk! CN rocked when it had its mix of original shows like this one, with its classics! Now its mostly, except on rare occasions, unwatchable, unentertaining garbage!

I remember he would pop up in the middle of a cartoon, do something funny, and not be seen for the rest of the day. My brother and I always looked out for him.
