Two teams (one male, one female) compete in games of physical strength against the "Gladiators" - very athletic body builders who attempt to halt the contestants from scoring points in any of the competitions.
The Gladiators were as follows:
Lazer, Malibu,Turbo, Hawk, Ice, Storm, Lace, Zap, Blaze, Siren, Jazz, Nitro, Electra.
Some of the games include The Wall, Assault, Hang Tough, Joust, Human Cannonball, Atlasphere, and Breakthrough & Conquer. The final game was The Eliminator, a giant obstacle course which the two remaining contenders competed against each other in.
When the show first premiered it was a battle of male contenders against the female Gladiators only but by Mid Season they added the male Gladiators and the female contenders.
