Movie Summary

Released: 1989
Louise is not very popular at her highschool. Then she learns that she's descended from the witches of Salem and has inherited their powers. At first she uses them to get back at the girls and teachers who teased her and to win the heart of the handsome footballer's captain. But soon she has doubts if it's right to 'cheat' her way to popularity.

Hmmm...this looks very *familiar* (get it?)...OH, THAT'S RIGHT! This was that movie concept that blatantly ripped off of a certain other teen witch from the comics (no need to mention names). Except that the folks at MGM apparently were savvy and innovative enough to be the first ones to turn such a concept into a live-action film. I also noticed a couple of references to "Bewitched" (Dick Sargeant as a supporting actor, and "Poltergeist"'s Zelda Rubenstein playing Madame Serena).

All I can say about this movie is..."I'm hot and you're not...If you wanna hang with me, I'll give it a shot. TOP THAT!" wasn't that like the begining of "gangsta rap"?

I had this watched it all the time. Lost it though was 1 ofmy faves. I Wanted to be Teen Witch!
