Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory

Movie Summary

Released: 1971
Gene Wilder brings life, spirit, & horror to this fantastical adventure.

Charlie Bucket is a poor young boy who lives with his mother and 4 grandparents. He finds out about Willly Wonka's contest: five golden tickets have been hidden in Wonka bars across the globe, and the people who find them get to visit the mysterious factory. 4 nasty kids find them and Charlie's hope is temporarily crushed as one man claims to have found the last one-but it turns out to be a fake and Charlie finds the real one.

Gene Wilder does a comically wonderful job as Willy Wonka, if he does get a little creepy sometimes (those who saw the boat ride scene get my drift). Many consider this movie to be superior to the recent Tim Burton remake.

From alex92sing: Don't forget this movie has great kid actors. Please see this movie!!!

Loved this movie so much when I was younger but now all I can remeber is that weird tunnel scene.Seriouly what was with that and to have Wonka say that creepy poem that still haunts me to this day.So why didn't anyone say anything afterwards in the movie?
