Transformers: The Movie

Movie Summary

Released: 1986
Essentially a movie involving the battle between the heroic Autobots and the evil Decepticons, two warring factions of transforming robots from the planet Cybertron, the plot also involves the giant planet named Unicron, who's ready to consume anything that stands in its way. The only thing that can stop Unicron is the Autobot Matrix of Leadership, which is possessed by the Autobots and which the Decepticons, through Unicron's orders, plan to take away from them.

This movie features an all-star voice cast consisting of Leonard Nimoy ("Star Trek") as the voice of Galvatron, Judd Nelson as Hot Rod, Robert Stack ("Unsolved Mysteries") as Ultra Magnus, and in his final role two months prior to his death, Orson Welles ("Citizen Kane") provides the voice of Unicron. This movie is also known for its soundtrack featuring Stan Bush's "The Touch" and Weird Al Yankovic's "Dare to be Stupid".

The live action movie was great, but it is no competition for the animated movie. Old school rules, I hate the new Transformers cartoons, all that crap such as RiD, Armada, Energon and Cybertron. Too much CGI and anime

Christ, I gotta see this movie! Came out the year I was born too!
I liked the new one but the humor, quite a bit of the dialogue, and the plot were whack! I see there are other Transformers animated movies here as well but since this is the only one still out there, it's most likely I'm only gonna see this one and I will some day!
