Actually this movie was a let down to its predecessor. Nothing could beat barbarians slicing each other to bloody pulp with kick ass orchestration in the background! Watch Conan the Barbarian and you'll know what I'm talking about!

I agree with Plecostomus, I saw Barbarian first and I loved it. What you expect from an Oliver Stone script? The action was intense, the story is deep, and the cinematic was amazing. It was like watching Lord of the Rings before LOTR. The destroyer was such a let down because the story was so trimmed down and made for the kids, even the story was kiddie fied. I hope they could make another connan and put the gore back in.

Andre The Giant was never credited for playing the role of the evil god Dagoth in this movie.

i just remember the only saving grace was the princess who was a real betty (played by olivia d'abo, future karen arnold on the wonder years)......and grace jones was scarier than the monster at the end!

This movie is definitely not as good as Conan the Barbarian, however, it is still Conan....sort of. I only hope to live to see Arnold make King Conan. I know he's old, but Arnold is Conan and nobody else can fulfill his shoes. Hail Crom!
