The Thing

Movie Summary

Released: 1982
An American research team in an Antarctica outpost discovers an alien shape shifting creature in the frozen ice. It soon starts to absorb and kill the members of the team. The problem is the team doesn’t know who is the alien being and the paranoia becomes just as much a threat as the alien itself.

Directed by John Carpenter (Halloween, The Fog, Escape from New York) this a re-make of the 1950’s sci-fi classic Howard Hawks The Thing From Another World. It stars Kurt Russell (Escape from New York, Big Trouble in Little China) & Keith David (Spawn & Gargoyles). Filled with great suspense, this is a groundbreaking film in special effects and a sci-fi horror classic.

Gross but great remake by THE John Carpenter! I also liked seeing one of my favorite actors, Keith David in one of the lead roles.

I liked both this one and the original from 51'.After the scene in the dog kennel,I became afraid of dogs, for almost 5 years. The film is that powerful.

This is one of the best horror movies ever made. No one being able to trust each other is what made it scary for me. It's part of the collection
