The Trouble with Miss Switch

Movie Summary

Released: 1980
When Rupert and Amelia (Nancy McKeon) find out that their new substitute teacher is actually a witch, they join Miss Switch (Janet Waldo) and her talking cat, Bathsheba (June Foray), to defeat a coven of witches who are bent on destroying her.

This animated film originally aired on "The ABC Weekend Special," and was followed in 1982 by "Miss Switch to the Rescue."

My niece is named Amelia because I liked this cartoon so much and it was my inspiration when my sister asked the family for name ideas. It's such a pretty name and my niece is gorgeous:) So she can say she's named after the character in this show. We call her Amy for short, too.

Yes, hard to believe the voice for Miss Switch was the same who did Judy Jetson. Of course June Foray was always considered the female counterpart of Mel Blanc because she always had many voices.

I remember reading the actual books they were based on, which was funny because Miss Switch was depicted as an older person than coming off looking like Samantha or Glinda.

i remember seeing this as an abc weekend special, i remember others but can't remember the titles. hope to come across them, specifically one about a supposedly haunted house a kid gets trapped in. anyone?
