Terry Brogan (Jeff Bridges) is a football player for a team called The Outlaws, and he gets kicked off the team. After that, his friend Jake Wise (James Woods) asks him to go look for his girlfriend (Rachel Ward) who ran off to Mexico to avoid him, and Terry agrees, but once he finds her, the two end up falling in love, and then things get out of hand.
